Apple Pie with Sour Cream

Apple Pie with Sour Cream

Ingredients

For the dough:  

- 2 eggs  

- 150 g sugar  

- 150 g butter (melted)  

- 1 cup milk  

- 1 tsp vanilla sugar  

- 200 g flour  

- 1 tsp baking soda  

- A pinch of salt  

For the frosting:  

- 200 g sour cream  

- 100 g sugar  

- 1 tsp vanilla extract  

- 100 g soft butter  

For the apples:  

- 3 apples (peeled and sliced)  

- 1 tsp cinnamon  

- 2 tbsp sugar  

 

Preparation  

Making the dough:  

  1. Whisk the eggs and sugar until frothy.  
  2. Add the melted butter and milk.  
  3. Mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla sugar, then incorporate them into the batter.  
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish lined with parchment paper.  

Preparing the apples:

  1. Slice the apples and mix them with cinnamon and sugar.  
  2. Spread the apple mixture over the prepared dough.  

Making the frosting: 

  1. Beat the sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and soft butter until smooth.  

Baking: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake the pie for 30-35 minutes.  

Final step:

  1. Remove the pie from the oven and spread the sour cream frosting over the top.  
  2. You can apply the frosting while the pie is still warm for easier blending.  

Tip

This pie pairs perfectly with morning coffee or tea.
