Eskimo with Chocolate Coating

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g butter (softened)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

For the Cream

  • 150 ml milk
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Coating

  • 200 g dark or milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

Preparing the Dough
1️⃣ Beat the butter and sugar until soft.
2️⃣ Add the egg, sour cream, milk, and vanilla sugar, and mix again.
3️⃣ Combine the flour with the baking powder and gradually add it to the mixture.
4️⃣ Knead the dough well, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Shaping and Baking the Pastry
5️⃣ Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5-7 mm and cut into stick-shaped pieces.
6️⃣ Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7️⃣ Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-18 minutes.

Preparing the Cream
8️⃣ Mix the sour cream, milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until you get a smooth mixture.

Making the Chocolate Coating
9️⃣ Melt the chocolate and butter, adding 1 tablespoon of milk to achieve a smooth texture.

Final Assembly
🔟 Allow the baked goods to cool, then coat one side with the cream.
1️⃣1️⃣ Dip the sticks in the chocolate until fully coated.
1️⃣2️⃣ Place them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
